Psion Palmtop computers and genealogy

When this site was first started back in 1998 Psion palmtop computers were a stong player in the consumer PDA market. Now, in 2008 Psion are concentrating on mobile phone technologies and some industrial PDA applications and the orginal Psion 3a  computers are now "obsolete". That said, they are still availble on the second hand market and still have uses for data input where a keyboard makes life much easier.

• For portable data storage the Psion 3a palmtop computer is ideal for genealogical use. Combined with the Psion Psiwin PC conversion software I'm able to keep data generated in Reunion (now Generations 8.0 for the PC) and the CD version of the IGI in my pocket.
